Kings International Medical Academy conducted the White Coat ceremony for our 2022 batch students. The White Coat Ceremony (WCC) is a ritual in some schools of medicine and other health-related fields that marks the student’s transition from the study of preclinical to clinical health sciences. At some schools, where students begin meeting patients early in their education, the white coat ceremony is held before the first year begins.
The ceremony was presided by Dr. David K Pillai, the Founder and Chairman of Kings International Medical Academy and Transworld Educare. Dr. Joselito Francisco Gullas, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees (UV), Dr. John Vicente Gullas (Vice-Chairman of The Freeman Newspaper), Dr. Eva Maria Gullas (Publisher of Zee Publication, Inc.) and Dr. Tricia Ivy Gullas (Building Administrator of JF Gullas, Inc.) were invited as the chief guests to the White Coat ceremony.
The ceremony was started with ‘Tamil Thai Vaalzhthu’, the National Anthem of the Philippines and with a prayer song.
Our honourable chairman, David K Pillai and Mrs. Jecintha David K. Pillai, Secretary of Kings International Medical Academy and all the chief guests lighted the ‘Kuthuvilakku’.
Dr. David K Pillai gave the presidential speech. He narrated a moral story and gave a motivational speech for our students. He advised how they should lead their life in the foreign land while studying in Davao Medical School Foundation. He boosted up the positive spirit of our students with his inspirational speech.
The students were given a White Coat, a Stethoscope and Dissection box for their future studies in Davao Medical School Foundation, one of the top ranking medical colleges in the Philippines.
The students took an oath which is a ritual of the White Coat ceremony.
Then, some of the top students were awarded with trophies.

The White Coat ceremony ended with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
