What is FMGE?
FMGE or Foreign Medical Graduates Examination is a compulsory licensure test for every student who holds a foreign degree in medicine and wants to practice in India. Conducted by National Board of Examination, the exam duration is usually of 5 hours and held twice a year online.
Why is FMGE a Hard Nut to Crack?
Statistics reveal that the rate of failure amongst Indians in this MCI screening testis high. This unfortunate condition is owing to the absence of requisite skills for practicing in this country. Moreover, the exam has become extremely competitive over the years as the best candidates are filtered after rigorous assessment.
On the other side, there’s a significant shortage of doctors in India. Hence, medical degree holders failing to qualify in the FMG test will only increase the problem for patients. Being a student of medicine, it is important for you to pass FMGE not only for your career but also for your country.
While self-study is important, proper guidance from experienced professionals adds value to your preparation and learning experience. Kings International Medical Academy (KIMA)provides premium quality FMGE coaching to foreign medical graduates from countries across the world.
Acquired an MBBS degree from an international medical academy? Congratulations, Doctor! Your achievement after years of hard toil is indeed laudable. Despite your academic brilliance and result, however, India would permit you to practice medicine across the country only when you qualify in one of the toughest examinations, MCI FMGE screening test.
